The Rill Garden: photograph by Marianne MajerusThe main features, apart from splendid York stone, are the wide upper rill and the narrow lower rill, best seen through a gap in the hedge from the Yew Walk.  The lower planting is muted perennials whilst on the upper level there are two rows of Buxus sempervirens balls backed by recently planted Carpinus betulus 'Frans Fontaine'.
