Old Garden

The site of the original Elizabethan Knot Garden, this area has been altered three times since 1987.  The most recent change was due to the box disease Cylindrocladium, necessitating complete removal.  A very simple design using standard Portuguese laurel to edge a York stone path, in-filled with harebells and camomile, has proved a very pleasing replacement.
